Senior QAQC engineer

Job Summary

Oversees and ensures the implementation of QA/QC procedures and standards in construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Perform regular inspections and tests on construction materials and works to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Identify, document, and address non-conformances, coordinating corrective and preventive measures effectively.
  • Plan and execute internal and external quality audits, ensuring all activities conform to established standards and procedures.
  • Assess and monitor the quality of materials supplied by vendors, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement and implement strategies to enhance construction processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure all QA/QC activities adhere to health and safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.


Job Requirements

1. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

2. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION/OTHER RELEVANT CERTIFICATION

  • Certification in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) is preferred.
  • Certification in ISO 9001 or related quality management systems is an advantage.

3. WORKING EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience for Degree holders in a QA/QC role within the construction industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a QA/QC role within the infrastructure field, particularly in road and bridge construction works

4. KEY/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • In-depth knowledge of QA/QC standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
